Karl T. Fisher

Karl T. Fisher, a native of Muenster, Texas, is an experienced civil litigator and legal writer. He has experience handling complex litigation cases and negotiating pre-litigation claims. He has advocated on behalf of a wide variety of clients including contractors, homeowners’ associations, trucking transport companies, construction premises owners, restaurant and bar owners, oil and gas companies, product manufacturers, and other industries and business professionals in defense cases, corporate matters, and contract disputes.

Karl has experience in insurance defense matters involving trucking and transportation litigation, toxic tort, premises liability, product liability, professional liability, construction defect, and medical malpractice. Additionally, Karl has handled corporate law matters, contract disputes, subrogation claims, creditors’ rights, and employment matters.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Karl worked as an architectural designer and construction project manager for projects throughout North Texas, providing design expertise for unique restaurant concepts to large scale mixed-use developments. Karl’s background in handling design and construction projects, including communicating with clients, sub-contractors, and government officials and managing construction sites provided a strong foundation for his future as a litigator.

Work History

Following graduation from University of Oklahoma College of Law, Karl accepted a position with a boutique firm in Dallas, Texas specializing in complex insurance defense and excess coverage matters. Since that time, Karl’s experience has included managing the insurance group for a national law firm and honing his litigation skills in service of a wide variety of complex civil litigation matters. In joining Lasater & Martin, Karl looks forward to continuing to apply his litigation experience and writing skills on behalf of clients.
